Tiffin and Lunch to be send with students only

August 16, 2024

Dear Parents
Greetings From GD Geenka, Srinagar.
It is observed that parents send lunch to their children during school time. It is quite challenging to deliver the correct lunch pack to the correct child because of so many lunch packs—some labeled and some unlabeled—are arriving at the gate throughout the day. Furthermore, it is difficult to ensure the child’s safety as the gate attendants are mostly unfamiliar with the individuals who drop the lunchboxes.
Secondly a large number of parents and guardians are contacting the front desk to request early dismissal of their child(ren).
Parents are therefore reminded of the following directions given in this regard from the school.

1.Lunch packs will not be received at the gate. You are hence ,requested to stop this practice from now.
Parents are advised to send lunch, preferably a dry lunch, and water along with the child in the morning. Kindly refer to the school handbook for further directions on this.

2:The school does not allow late arrivals, half-day leaves, or early dispersals. The children are allowed to stay at home if they are ill. With the appropriate medical evidence, parents can apply for a leave of absence through e mail.
Further, the school is only open for examination hours during term exams, whereas continuous assessments are the basis for evaluation in other internal examinations. It is therefore not required for students to attend school while being unwell.
3:The school gate closes at the class commencement time communicated to you from time to time. Therefore, parents are reminded to drop off their children at school before time.
Such directions are for the safety and betterment of our children. We anticipate your full cooperation in this regard.
