Dear Students and Parents,

A good handwriting is like a portrait picture of ones own. It is ones own unique identity. Hence, handwriting is given great importance in the writing skills in any language. 

It helps the rating of the accomplishment in all the other subjects because good handwriting has an optimistic impact on the academic grades!

In this context, Grade 1 and 2 of G.D.Goenka Public School, Srinagar, will be organising an English handwriting competition on 13th  August 2021, Friday from 12:50 to 1:30 pm. 

Students will be given a time slot and a paragraph/passage to copy the same on an A4 size ruled paper.  It will supervised by the concerned homeroom teacher in a  live  and a virtual class.

Please note:

Students writing will be assessed on the following points:

1.Uniformity-slanting / parallality

2.Spacing/Gap between letters, words and lines

3.Formation and strokes – Line usage/Letter correctness, consistency of the size of letters.

4.Speed of writing.
